Program overview
HAQQ's Students Program provides free access to Justinian (HAQQ's legal education sub-product) for verified law students, alongside a campus community program designed to build a generation of AI-literate legal professionals.
What the program includes
Free Justinian Access
Verified law students receive full access to Justinian at no cost for the duration of their legal studies:
- Bar exam preparation tools (jurisdiction-selectable)
- IRAC case brief generator and coach
- Moot court rehearsal (Socratic judge simulation)
- Course outline generator
- Study planning and time management coaching
Access covers the educational features of Justinian; professional drafting and review features of Louis are available at a discounted student rate.
Eligibility
- Enrolled in an accredited law school or faculty of law
- Active student status (re-verified annually)
- Any jurisdiction; MENA-based universities prioritized for on-campus partnership programs
Campus Ambassador Program
Selected student ambassadors represent HAQQ at their law school:
- Organize Louis and Justinian workshops for fellow students
- Provide feedback to the HAQQ product team from the student perspective
- Earn a monthly stipend and enhanced Louis access (including professional features)
- Build a portfolio of legal technology experience relevant to a future legal career
Ambassador selection criteria:
- Active law student (2L or above preferred)
- Strong communication skills; ability to run a 60-minute workshop

Student Competitions
HAQQ co-sponsors legal AI and legal technology competitions:
- Louis Legal AI Challenge: teams solve a real legal scenario using Louis tools; judged on quality of legal analysis and effective use of AI
- Justinian Moot: a moot court competition with AI-assisted preparation phase
- Legal Hackathon: engineering + law teams build legal tools on the Louis API
Prizes include cash awards, professional mentoring sessions, and guaranteed interview access with HAQQ partner law firms.
Thesis Support
Law students writing theses on topics related to legal technology, AI and law, MENA legal systems, or related subjects can apply for:
- Extended Justinian and Louis access for research purposes
- Optional informal advisory sessions with the HAQQ legal and research team
- Co-authorship opportunities (where the research is publishable and HAQQ researchers contributed substantively)
Application process
- Sign up at [Louis student program page] with university email and student ID
- HAQQ verifies student status (within 2 business days for most institutions)
- Approved students receive Justinian credentials
- Campus ambassador applications: submit a short statement of interest + 1 idea for a campus event
For law schools and faculties
HAQQ offers law schools a group enrollment pathway:
- Verified student batch onboarding (no individual applications needed)
- Curriculum integration support for the Learn Legal with AI program
- Faculty access for professors who want to incorporate Justinian exercises into coursework
- Workshop facilitation by HAQQ team members (virtual or in-person at selected partner institutions)
Interested institutions should contact the HAQQ academic partnerships team (see [[academy-partnership-pitch]]).
What the program is not
- Justinian is a learning tool, not a legal advice service. Student outputs are not suitable for filing in any legal proceeding or providing to a client.
- The program does not provide bar admission or law degree credit; CLE/CPD credit for the Learn Legal with AI curriculum is being pursued separately.
- Ambassador stipends are modest (program recognition, not employment); ambassadors are not HAQQ employees.
